Adam Saltiel (UKCP Reg, ARBs)
Julia Saltiel (Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Art Therapist)
Below summarises the individual practice experience we have.
Experience in individual, couple, family and community work with a wide range of difficulties.
As a representative illustration, this encompasses sexual and physical addictions (sex as a substitute, physical substance abuse as a substitute for meaningful contact), obsessive neurotic anxieties as well as childhood deprivation, depression, sexual abuse and traumatic stress. This includes very dangerous to self and disturbing conditions such as self harm, anorexia and different levels of personality disorder and psychosis.
We work with all ages (with children together with their parents, older adolescents individually) including individuals with disabilities and families who may have a disabled member.
In our clinical practice, supervision and referral service we model collaboration between professionals.
We work with people who are on medication and receiving care from a team.
Responsible liaising with GPs, across medical teams and with consultants is a priority for us.
One of the central ideas of our clinical work is that of the importance of professional liaison.
Therefore we liaise with other members of an individual's community such as key workers as well as Priests, Rabbis, Imams and other representatives.
Working conscientiously with fellow professionals has been pioneered by organisations such as the Philadelphia Association and the Arbours Association while it is also very prominent in the approach taken by Open Dialogue.
We wish to encourage students and practising psychotherapists in growing their understanding of psychotherapy.
By offering the opportunity for detailed discussion of case work, listening carefully to one another and exploring each other’s reactions we will provide an unequalled learning environment. One that is not based on competitiveness or intellectual assertiveness and which allows each individual practitioner their own space and pace to grow.
We also offer a referral service and work with many qualified professionals.
Here we make careful assessments of each individual, their needs and what sort of therapeutic work could benefit them.
There are openings for fellow professionals to join this referral network.
Competencies in working with a spectrum of troubling issues: sexual, compulsive, obsessive, depression, lingering sadness, known as depression, anxiety and frequent or unmanageable feelings of vulnerability and fear.
Working with problems that manifest between someone and their partner, husband and wife, as well as between people in a family (mother and father, parents and child).
Over thirty five years experience.
Extensive experience in difficult and complex cases including childhood abuse and deprivation.
Such distressing experiences manifest in different ways, as anorexia and other eating disorders, unmanageable moods, chaotic thinking and behaviour.
Julia has over years thirty five experience, during which she has worked in therapeutic communities, hospitals and with individuals.
